Hello, my beautiful friends 🌸
Today, I’m sitting in the very place where God first called me to take action — to begin blogging and sharing what He’s doing in my life.
There’s something so peaceful and sacred about this spot. The sound of water splashing, the breeze gently blowing through my hair, the rustling of the leaves, and ducks gliding quietly across the lake, all stir a deep sense of joy and contentment in my heart.
This place always brings me back to one powerful verse:
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Honestly, being still is a hard lesson to learn. Life pulls at us from every direction with responsibilities, notifications, noise, and distractions. But here, in this quiet space, my mind is finally still, even while walking. And Jesus meets me here.
There’s no to-do list buzzing in my head. No stress. No scrolling. Just stillness.
And, in that stillness, I truly listen in anticipation of what God wants to speak into my heart.
⛪ A Sacred Pattern in Scripture
Throughout the Bible, we see men and women go where God leads, and then, when He shows up powerfully, they build an altar in that place. They name it in honor and remembrance of what God did there, and offer praise, gratitude, and worship.
Examples of Altars in the Bible
- Altar of Praise – Built by Abraham
- The Lord is My Banner – Built by Moses
- The Lord is Peace – Built by Gideon
- Joshua built an Altar of Remembrance out of 12 stones from the Jordan, representing the 12 tribes, after he split the Jordan River during their journey to the Promised Land.
This quiet park, right by the water, has become that kind of place for me.
It’s where God led me.
It’s where He continues to draw me.
It’s where I lay down distractions to be still, to listen, and to write.
This is my sacred altar, the space where I come not to talk, complain, or ask for anything… but to simply be in His presence and say, “Here I am, Lord. Speak.”
I’ve decided to name my altar:
👉 “The Landing Place” because this is where He landed me. Where my soul finds rest, clarity begins, and worship flows freely.
🙏 Where Is God Leading You to Be Still?
Is there a place God is calling you to land?
Maybe it’s a cozy corner in your home, a quiet park, a prayer closet, a favorite coffee shop, or a peaceful nature trail.
Wherever it is, go there.
Let it become your altar — the place where you let go of everything else and fully focus on Him, a place where you can be still, pray, listen, and obey.
God wants to speak.
We only need to slow down enough to hear Him.
Challenge for Today:
Find your “Landing Place.” Even if just for 10 minutes. Be still and listen. Don’t scroll. Don’t rush. Just be.
Because in the stillness, beauty blooms.
With love and purpose,
